‘Alive’ marks Alyssa Joseph’s arrival as a new type of Nashville singer-songwriter in full form. From her early days as an acoustic artist in the New Jersey coffee shop scene, this four song EP is less a pivot and more a reintroduction to Alyssa finding power in her vulnerabilities in a very raw way. At times, her sound is tender and quite, at others- roaring louder than a freeway. Through this dynamic drama, Alyssa’s vocals land squarely at the front of every mix so that no matter what audible or emotional chaos ensues around her, you will undoubtably know who she is and how she feels.
